Connecting Customers to Customers

ENHANCEMENTS TO EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES

In examining the opportunity to put customers in touch with one another for sharing news and updates, operating procedures, best practices, and more, it has become very clear there are many ways we might address this need. We want to be careful that we choose a method that is effective, convenient, and provides the greatest value while allowing everyone to feel comfortable in the process. In the coming months, we will be modernizing our customer portal to enable enhanced customer communications as a step towards closing this gap.

NEW REPORTING ENHANCEMENT WITH 2.6

Canister Management

THE CANISTER PROGRAM

To improve the experience around managing canisters, we’ve begun piloting a new fulfillment process for a small group of customers. Our goal is to ship all new canister orders within 24 hours. We will continue evaluating additional ways to manage canister changes, but shipping canisters much faster should help combat the challenges brought on by high volatility within the generic drug market.

Pivot for PASS

UNITY IS NOW PIVOT

The product formerly known as UNITY has been renamed Pivot. Customers with multiple PASS packagers have requested the capability of leveraging the collective strength of their packagers for things like routing batches to the most efficient packager, sharing canisters and pouch designs between machines, and viewing combined reporting for all machines — all in one place.

That capability has arrived and is in Beta testing throughout the first quarter of 2017. There are many obvious advantages to making communications across systems easier, and there are many features under review and being prioritized to bring our customers functionality that will improve their business operations.

Insights on Tap

PASS AND THE INTERNET OF THINGS

In October, Parata initiated Beta testing of our newest Internet of Things technology designed for the Parata PASS platform. Leveraging this exciting new technology will enable Parata to provide our customers with a more proactive service experience (e.g. early detection of potential hardware issues) as well as valuable performance reporting, consumable tracking and auto-shipping, workflow analytics, and remote access.

We've targeted November to begin updating the fleet of PASS packagers and will then move forward to develop this technology for the Check PASS inspection unit in early 2017. We will be communicating much more about this game-changing technology over the next 3 months and look forward to showing our progress at MHA 2017.

Blister Packaging Option

REQUEST FOR PARATA TO PROVIDE A BLISTER PACKAGING OPTION

Based on your feedback, we’ve assessed the technology advancements we plan to offer over the next several quarters.  Although blister packaging is still very prevalent in our markets, we feel current blister capabilities don't align with our technology goals. As market demands and technology evolve, we will continue to review blister to see where it could fit in with our solutions portfolio. Parata will continue our commitment to embrace new ideas and solve problems to provide value to our customers.

Regulatory Updates

There are updates to share that may impact pharmacies using PASS from the following states: Wisconsin, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Washington.
